Girona & Costa Brava - Hotels and Neighbourhoods

Girona

The inland city of the Costa Brava, Girona is a great jumping off point but also a place to visit in its own right. Medieval wealth built up a thriving metropolis many centuries ago. There is much of that still to be found today, with streets winding in and out of the maze that is Girona. While it’s not Barcelona, Girona offers up a pretty lively scene for these parts of Catalonia. Eat, drink, shop, explore, that’s the name of the game here. Not many tourists stay overnight at Girona as it is visited as a day trip from Barcelona.

Recommended hotels in Girona

Nord 1901, a four-star choice in the heart of the city, has rooms starting around €90/night. Get a room overlooking the pool for a peaceful atmosphere. And head down for a dip to keep cool.
