Where is Barcelona cruise terminal?

Where is the port where cruise ships dock in Barcelona? How to reach Barcelona city centre from the cruise terminal?
We would like to see Barcelona during our break from the cruise around Spain. What is the best and cheapest way to reach the city center from the cruise terminal in Barcelona? We will be traveling in a large group and do want to not spend too much on transport.

Barcelona Cruise terminal is at Port Vell, located at the southern tip of La Rambla, the city's main tourist area. Most cruise lines dock at Moll Adossat, three kilometres from Ramblas.

Barcelona Cruise Terminal to Barcelona City Centre

Barcelona Cruise Terminal – Shuttle Bus – Columbus Monument – Drassanes station – Barcelona City Centre

  1. To reach the city first take the Cruise shuttle bus, called Blue Port Shuttle Bus[T3].
  2. The port shuttle bus will drop you at Columbus Monument right at the end of La Rambla.
  3. Walk down to Drassanes station, which is at 2 minutes walking distance from the Barcelona port shuttle bus stop.
  4. From there take the metro (green line L3) from Drassanes to Espanya (Barcelona city center).

I think your question is more about the best transport options from Barcelona cruise terminal to the city centre.

Save time, take a Taxi

If you are only stopping by in Barcelona on a short break from your cruise, do not waste time trying to take public transport. Public transport is cheaper, yes, but you can save a lot of time and see more of the city instead, if you take a TAXI!

And you can leave your luggage at the terminal.

Here are some comparisons of how much time you can save:

Cruise terminal to Placa Catalunya
- Taxi : 20 mins
- Public transport : 45 mins

Cruise terminal to Sagrada Familia
- Taxi : 20 mins
- Public transport : 45 mins

Cruise terminal to Park Guell
- Taxi : 30 mins
- Public transport : 70 mins
