You should look at short term vacation rental rather than a hotel with quad rooms.
If you prefer to stay in an apartment, you must shortlist apartments in the Testaccio neighbourhood. A short walk from Trastevere and just south of the Coliseum, this old industrial and portside area historically supplied the Romans with much of their food. These days Testaccio is a culinary capital, and has some of the finest eateries in the city, from gourmet food like Volpetti to the traditional Testaccio Market. Testaccio also has some excellent sushi, if you somehow become tired of eating Italian food!
