Of late, San Sebastian has become one of the important business conference destination attracting senior executives from across the world. Consequently, nightlife at San Sebastian is sober compared to the likes of Ibiza or even Costa Del Sol.
My favorite night haunt is the pedestrian street of Reyes Católicos behind the Cathedral del Buen Pastor. The street is atmospheric lined with bars and makes a perfect stage for a fun filled night. The bars at Reyes Católicos range from a hole in the wall pintxo spots to sophisticated late-night drinking holes.
For a culture break, head to charming Victoria Eugenia Antzokia, a marvelous old-style theater hosting events like San Sebastian film festival and Jazz festival. Perfect to relax after pintxo hopping in the old town of San Sebastian.
For Jazz, you can head to Altxerri Bar & Jazz housed in a modern art gallery, just where the old city hits the river by the Kursaal bridge.
For a night out at a nightclub, head to Le Bukowski, one of the most well known nightclub in San Sebastian with guest DJ and live music every night.
San Sebastian boasts of the highest density of Michelin restaurants. While it is known for its culinary scene, you will not find its bars and nightlife options wanting.
